They've been optimized to include the best keyword combinations and categories for each search, e.g.:
- 'wood' finds phones listed under 'wood,' 'oak,' and 'walnut', not just 'wood'
- 'payphone' finds phones listed as 'pay phone,' payphone,' and 'pay station'
- '102/B1' find phones labeled 102, plus phones labeled B1 but not 102
- 'Bell System' searches both the Telephone and Telephone Advertising categories
- 'telephone signs' searches all eBay categories, but removes all the clutter of cell phone signs
