Brief history
North Electric was founded in Cleveland by George Drumheller and Charles North, both lineman for the Cleveland Telephone Company (later Ohio Bell). Starting with telephone and switchboard repair, they built North into a company that successfuly manufactured phones and switching systems for almost 100 years, before selling out to Ericsson and then to ITT.
