Porcelain 30x 18. Double sided. Mounted in a bracket. This sign advertised messenger service. These messengers really hustled, according to the sign. Most messengers were young boys who mainly delivered telegrams. They also responded to Call Box calls to receive telegrams to be sent and performed other errands. Many telegraphers started out as messengers. Porcelain 14 1/2 x 8 1/2. Porcelain 20 x 11. Double sided. Flanged.
Porcelain 9 1/2x 4 1/4. This sign was mounted to the front of wooden boxes that held blank telegrams. Porcelain 24x 12. Double sided. Flanged. Porcelain 18x 9. Double sided. Flanged. This sign was touched-up on the right side.
Porcelain 18x 9. Double sided. Flanged. advertises the transfer of money by telegraph. advertises the lower rates available by sending telegrams at night.
